Soybean Maturity Group Selection

Last Updated: October 02, 2008

View as web page

In most years plant the latest maturity group you can that will mature before frost. This generally means planting the same full maturity group bean you normally would. The later you plant the more likely frost will become a problem.

Farmers in the south may choose a variety that will mature before normally hot and dry conditions occur.
