URBANA, Ill. -- A training program for those interested in becoming Pork Quality Assurance-Plus (PQA-Plus) advisors will be offered April 17 in Springfield, sponsored by University of Illinois Extension and the Illinois Pork Producers Association. The event will be held at the IPPA office, 6411 S. 6th St. Road.

"All educators wanting to become PQA-Plus advisors are required to attend a PQA-Plus advisor training session to be able to educate producers in this new program," explained Rob Knox, U of I Extension swine reproduction specialist. "The next PQA-Plus training opportunity will not be held until this summer," Knox said.
