News Release
A National Dairy Producer Johne's survey, funded by the Johne’s Disease Integrated Program (JDIP) and led by PennState University is now underway. The survey, which has been mailed to approximately 15% of the dairy producers in each state, seeks to identify barriers to and incentives for participation in the Voluntary Bovine Johne's Disease Control Program. Information gained will be used to improve the program and identify future direction for Johne’s Disease control efforts.
An on-line version of the survey is available for participating dairy producers allowing the option of completing either the paper or "on-line" version of the survey. Details on access to the electronic version of their form are included with the survey.
Dairy producers who do not receive a copy of the survey by mail are encouraged to visit the website https://online.survey.psu.edu/johnesdisease/ to provide their input on the program. Additional information about the survey, as well as a link to the survey site, will be available at http://vetextension.psu.edu and http://www.jdip.org/ .
Participation is voluntary, but all producers are strongly encouraged to provide their input on the survey! It is important that we get as much input as possible from producers and others who work with the program, so that the program can be adapted to best meet future needs.
