LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Are you having a problem with a plant disease, insect or weed in your garden or lawn? Help has arrived, and it's as close as your Internet browser.
The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture has a new Web page of information produced by its assembled trio of "pest guys," including Dr. Steve Vann, plant pathologist/disease expert, Dr. John Boyd, weed expert, and Dr. John Hopkins, urban entomologist/insect expert.
The pest guys have more than 50 years of combined experience in handling lawn and garden misfits. So, if you need advice for management or need identification of a possible plant disease, insect or weed, our experts are ready to lend a hand.
"We're ready to help you tackle your worst pest nightmares," said Vann. "The goal of this new Web page is to provide you with the most up-to-date ways to combat all of those greedy pests that threaten everything from A-sparagus to Z-oysia."
Visit http://www.aragriculture.org/pestguys/ for an opportunity to describe and submit pest questions to our pest guys.
"Feel free to send us your comments and suggestions for better ways that we can serve you," Vann said. "We look forward to being a part of your journey to growing healthy plants."
