Composite-A breed resulting from the matings of two or more existing breeds and the animals are selected from within the progeny to continue the breed. These progeny are developed from the combination of desirable traits to retain heterosis in future generations without crossbreeding.

Common Crossbreeding Lines:

  • Beefmaster
  • Brangus
  • Red Brangus
  • Braford
  • Santa Gertrudis
