Type- a standard that combines all of the animals characteristics that contributes to the animals usefulness for a specific purpose.
There are two characteristics to look at when deciding type:
- The physical conformation of an animal.
- All those physical attributes that contribute to the value of an animal for a specific purpose.
To look at physical conformation the animal needs to be evaluated for:
- length, height, thickness, and general symmetry
