Free webinars from eXtension focus on eCommerce applications for small businesses.

SIDNEY, Neb. — Learn about the Next Level of eMarketing using innovative Web 2.0 marketing strategies on Dec. 10 at 2:00 p.m. EST. The free webinar will cover what's possible, what's doable and what's feasible in the rapidly changing world of technology applications. This session is designed for small business owners, farmers, business coaches and mentors.

Tim O'Brien, Information Technology Business Consultant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, will present an hour webinar of tips, strategies and innovative ideas to get businesses clicking.

The webinar series is sponsored by Entrepreneurs and Their Communities - a part of eXtension - which has created the series to help entrepreneurs and communities think more entrepreneurial as well as provide tips on various of being a wise entrepreneur.

The next two monthly webinars also are geared towards eCommerce applications.

The Fruit Company shares its story about its online business and how it has incorporated Web 2.0 applications. The seminar is designed for small business owners, farmers, business coaches and mentors.

  • February 11, 2009 -- Maximizing Your Pay Per Click Campaign

Since 1995, WebWise Design and Marketing has offered online experience and expertise that allows businesses to effectively market their products, business, corporation or organization through its web site. In this session, President John Wells will focus on Google Adwords, the importance of landing pages and the use of Google Analytics as tools to increase e-commerce traffic for businesses. Wells will share his experiences working with small and large businesses from his corporate office in Fennimore, Wisconsin (population 2,500).

eXtension is an interactive learning environment delivering research-based knowledge from land-grant university faculty and researchers across America. eXtension connects knowledge consumers with knowledge providers - experts who know their subjects inside out.

How to connect to the webinar

No pre-registration is required and there is no fee to participate. About 10 minutes prior to the start time, go the Adobe Connect Pro meeting room at http://connect.extension.iastate.edu/ecop/. You will be presented with a login screen that has an "Enter as Guest" option. Enter your first name, last name and state, then click "Enter Room" to join the conference. Once you log into the meeting you will be presented with the option to enter your call-back number OR there will be a toll-free number for you to call. After entering your number, your phone will be called and joined into the audio portion of the Web conference.

The sessions are free and open to all. Newcomers to online learning are welcome.
