“I want to lose 20 pounds!” may be your long-term goal, but it won’t happen simply by saying it and clicking your heels three times in fabulous shoes. What actions do you really plan on taking to achieve your goals? This is an important question you must take a moment to answer honestly. Sometimes it is easier to say the words than to do the work. Create goals with which you are sincerely comfortable. Some of these may require some thought and planning.
Remember: Failing to plan is planning to fail. Think ahead, and consider what the obstacles have been for you and how you plan to avoid them. Once you get in the rhythm of practicing these everyday goals, you can begin expanding them to suit your increased energy levels, increased commitment, and your long-term goals.
