ST. PAUL, Minn. — Although some are saying the worst of the economic downturn is behind us, many families still struggle with lost jobs, reduced paychecks, accumulating debt and other challenges. When the family is stressed, it is even more difficult to keep every member healthy. The health and nutrition educators of University of Minnesota Extension have developed a webpage that offers resources to help families stay healthy during challenging financial times.
The “Eat Healthy for Less” webpage offers tips, worksheets, videos and links that target healthy meal planning, grocery shopping and meal preparation while spending less. The webpage is part of the University of Minnesota Extension website (http://www.extension.umn.edu) and can be accessed at: http://www.extension.umn.edu/Health/eathealthy.html. Check it out and return frequently for updated information.
