MANHATTAN, Kan. -- How a dairy producer manages the waste collected from loafing stalls and other facilities goes a long way toward controlling flies in the herd here in the summertime. So says K-State dairy specialist Mike Brouk (Brook), who takes a closer look at steps that the producer can take to reduce fly breeding, and thus, herd discomfort and the resulting impact on productivity.
