Prenatal Tips for Your Newborn

Babies bring change, both expected and unexpected. You may have expected and looked forward to the joy and love you would feel as a new parent. You may not have expected some of the feelings of stress and dissatisfaction that happened when your responsibilities and routines changed.

Babies create more household work; that’s a fact. There’s more laundry, picking up, general cleaning, and errands to do. Even if you’re happy with the division of labor in your house, you might have to rethink things due to the increased workload. Couples are happier when their partners are willing to share the work. Create a plan so that each person knows what is expected in keeping up with houshold chores.

It’s important to allow for different ways of getting houeshold tasks done. Your partner may not fold clothes the way you do, but try to go with the flow. Sharing tasks and not worrying about having a picture perfect home will help you survive the first busy months of parenthood.
