Haemophilus Somnus-A bacterial infection.

Clinical Symptoms

  • fever
  • incoordination
  • head-pressing
  • central nervous system signs

Prevention

  • vaccine (two injections)
    • chlortetracycline, 350 mg/head/day for 28 days
    • oxytetracycline, 3-5 mg/lb daily for 4 days

Treatment

  • Sulfonamides
  • Oxytetracycline
