Parenting Tips for Your 37-38 Month Old Child

Clothing strings, loose clothing and stringed items placed around the neck can catch on playground equipment and strangle children. Do not dress children in loose or stringed clothing.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has received reports of children’s deaths when clothing and toys caught on playground equipment especially slides and swings. Avoid strings on hoods and attached mittens. Avoid scarves, ponchos, jump ropes, or anything that hangs around the child’s neck. These items can catch on open-ended hooks, gaps and other parts of the playground equipment.
