AMES, Iowa – Stop by and say “hi” – online. The Iowa Beef Center is launching its new blog to keep beef producers and others up-to-date on the latest Iowa Beef Center happenings. The blog will also help Center staff have more conversations with the growing online livestock industry community. Find the blog at http://blogs.extension.iastate.edu/iowabeef.
Iowa Beef Center Extension experts and guest speakers are blogging to offer timely tips and advice on upcoming events, the latest research, and publications put forth by the organization. The blog is not only be a place to hear about livestock production – it is a place to talk. Through the comments feature of the blog site, visitors can respond with comments or questions on a blog topic, or a completely unrelated question – and Beef Center bloggers will respond.

The Iowa Beef Center at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, was established in 1996 with the goal of supporting the growth and vitality of the state’s beef cattle industry. It serves as the university’s extension program to cattle producers and is comprised of faculty and staff from ISU Extension and the colleges of agriculture and life sciences and veterinary medicine. Together, the Iowa Beef Center’s members work to develop and deliver the latest in research-based information regarding the beef cattle industry.
