AUBURN UNIVERSITY, Ala. -- The "Money Management Calendar 2010," published by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System is now available online and in Extension county offices throughout the state. One of Extension's most popular publications, the calendar is a resource that can improve budgeting skills for individuals and families.
The calendar provides a place to list fixed, occasional and flexible expenses for each month of the year. Using the calendar regularly not only can help consumers build better money management skills but also determine comfort levels with using a budget.
"I've used the calendar for years and it has helped me make and stick to a budget for my household. It helps me track all my monthly spending -- fixed and other," says Donna Reynolds, an Extension communications editor. "Keeping the money management calendar also helps me compare household costs from year to year."
Give the calendar as a holiday stocking stuffer. It is a gift that can keep on giving and is a great money management tool for family members out on their own, such as college students and young married couples.
