Ultrasound

Ultrasound- A process used to measure fat thickness and rib eye area in swine and cattle. The machine sends sound waves into the back of the animal and records these waves as they bounce off the tissues. Different wavelengths are recorded for fat and for lean. Also used to diagnose pregnancy.
