MARION, Ark. - Mismanaging the energy use of home appliances can lead to "power thieves" and "phantom loads" that siphon energy, leading to higher energy bills, said VeEtta Simmons, Crittenden County extension staff chair for the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture.
