MADISON, Wisc. — Youth in grades 6 – 8 who are interested in science, engineering or technology are invited to attend the IW2K! (I Want to Know!) Camp at the Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center in Wisconsin Dells, April 24 – 25, 2010. The camp will provide fun, hands-on learning experiences for youth who are interested in asking questions and learning about how things work. Camp sessions will explore global positioning systems, engineering design, environmental science, rocketry, careers in science and military applications of science and technology.
The camp will begin at 10 am on Saturday, April 24 and conclude at 2:00 pm the following day. The camp fee of just $45 per participant includes all meals, lodging, a T-shirt and supplies. While the camp is sponsored by Wisconsin 4-H Youth Development and Operation Military Kids, neither 4-H membership or military association is required, and any youth in grades 6 – 8 is invited to attend.
