Financial Success: Recovery after Bankruptcy

• Financial Success: Recovery after Bankruptcy has been approved by the United States Department of Justice to issue certificates evidencing completion of a personal financial management instructional course in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of a Provider’s services.

• The cost for the Financial Success course is $20. Couples filing jointly must complete the course separately. Payment will be made through PayPal.

• The course is offered without regard to one's ability to pay. If your attorney has handled your bankruptcy case pro bono, submit a signed letter from your attorney by email or FAX to that effect and we will waive your fee. Also, if your income is below 200% of the Federal poverty threshold, contact us with the number of people in your household and your household income as of the last tax filing period. Submit a signed and notarized statement with that information and FAX it to Sharon Seiling at 614-688-8133 or send by email attachment to seiling.1@osu.edu to receive a fee waiver.

• This course is available 24/7; however the certificates will be provided during business hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time the next business day after completing the class.

• Questions will be answered by members of the Financial Security for All Ask an Expert team. The automated system will forward the questions to members of the team so that the questions can be answered within one business day.
