About the Geographic Information Systems Lab at Washington College
The Geographic Information Systems Lab at Washington College integrates a data from a table, spreadsheet, or database and creates maps. GIS is a computerized mapping system that stores, displays and analyzes any type of data that has a geographic location. This field is used across disciplines and throughout the world. Environmental managers employ it to inventory and manage resources for the future while demographic researchers can use it to plot case specific data.
