Parrot Mouth vs. Monkey Mouth

Parrot mouth, also known as overbite, is a confirmation flaw where the lower jaw recedes while the upper incisors are prominent and bucktoothed. A parrot mouth may interfere with the horse's ability to eat, particularly graze.

Parrot mouth may be an inherited trait and is seriously discriminated against in the show ring and breeding herd.
