What problems would occur if I never had my horse re-shod?

Numerous lameness problems could occur if you never reset your horse. Fist off, the hooves will grow over the shoe or the shoe may become loose and fall off. If the horse is never reset, then you will not have done a very good job of keeping him trimmed. This could result in soreness to the heels, cracks in the hooves and various other lameness problems.
