When is the best time to bathe a horse and how often?

The best time is when the outside temperature is above 70o F. It is also not advisable to bathe a horse very often because you will wash away the natural oils in their skin and dull their hair coat. It is best to groom them on a daily basis and save the bathing until just before the big show.
