In most pastures, horse owners are trying to control broadleaf weeds, and when you look at the herbicides for weed control, their label directions will often not indicate a waiting period for horses. If there is a waiting period listed for livestock and/or dairy cows, that should be reasonable. Most give a 14-day waiting period, and that seems reasonable. Horses grazing on the dead weeds may be a concern. One product Cimarron is listed as a 0-day waiting period, while Clarity/Banvel has a 7-day period at the 1 pt/acre level and 21 days at the 2 pt/acre level.
