Should I use drip irrigation to water my lawn?

Drip or trickle irrigation has several advantages over sprinkler or surface irrigation, but is used primarily for landscape plantings. This type of irrigation is not well-suited to lawns due to the limited distribution of moisture and susceptibility to damage from foot traffic.
