It is always a good idea to water in fertilizers and pre-emergent herbicides and let the turf dry before allowing children or pets on the lawn. Contact herbicides designed to stick to the leaves of weeds should not be watered for 48 hours. With all lawn chemicals, you should follow the directions provided by the manufacturer and listed on the product label.
