Will herbicides applied to the lawn damage my flowers?

Granular and liquid postemergent herbicides, such as those designed to control dandelions (broadleaf weeds), can cause severe injury to flowers. Do not apply these herbicides near flower beds, and avoid using the products on hot or windy days because the herbicide may drift into these areas.
