For granular pre-emergent herbicides that are thoroughly watered into the soil after application, there is no need to alter your mowing schedule. If you cannot water the herbicide into the soil and there is no rain in the forecast before you need to mow, be certain not to collect the clippings, since you may remove a substantial amount of herbicide.
