How do I control quackgrass?

Quackgrass (Elymus repens (L.) Gould subsp. repens) is a perennial grass and cannot be controlled selectively in your lawn. The only way to rid your lawn of this weed is to kill infested patches with a non-selective herbicide containing glysophate and then seed or sod the area with the desirable grass.
