I am bottle feeding a calf that is developing scours. Is this common, and what should I do to correct it?

Milk replacer will sometimes upset the microflora in the stomach of the calves. If you notice that the calf is scouring, decrease the amount of milk replacer that you are adding to the water. To determine what amount to decrease it by, contact your veterinarian. If the calf continues to scour after you have done this, take the calf to your veterinarian to determine what could be causing the persistent scours.
