There are seven different pathogens that can cause major reproductive losses in beef cattle herds. The seven pathogens are Brucella abortus, Leptospira hardjo-bovis, Campylobacter fetus, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR), bovine viral diarrhea (BVD), Tritrichomonas foetus, and Neospora caninum.

Other pathogens and toxins can and will affect reproduction in cattle, but these are the major disease pathogens that producers need to discuss with their veterinarian.
