How do I prevent brucellosis in my herd?

The way to prevent your animals from contracting brucellosis (Bangs disease) is by calfhood vaccination of heifers by a veterinarian with RB-51 vaccine between 4 and 10 to 12 months of age. Check with your veterinarian about current regulations for your state and proper vaccination ages.
