How can I prevent my cattle from developing cancer eye (squamous cell carcinoma)?

There is a genetic component to this condition, so as soon as animals become infected, cull them from your herd and try not to keep replacements from these individuals. To prevent it, breed your animals for pigment surrounding the eye.
