How can I prevent my cattle from coccidiosis (bloody scours)?

You can implement several management practices to help prevent coccidiosis in your animals. You will want to avoid overcrowding of your young stock. There are a variety of drugs that will kill or prevent replication of coccidian that can be placed in the feed or drinking water of calves to prevent coccidiosis. You will need to consult with your veterinarian to decide what would be most suitable for your operation.
