How can I prevent my cattle from developing foot rot?

Prevention is accomplished by combinations of some but not all of the following recommendations. Remove factors that cause inter-digital trauma. Do not allow cattle to stay in wet areas for extended periods of time. Remove from stubble fields when signs of foot rot appear. Correct trace mineral deficiencies, especially copper and zinc.
