What can I do to prevent my cattle from developing lead poisoning?

To keep animals from developing lead poisoning, keep them away from sources of lead. This includes old car batteries, used motor oil, caulking compounds, lead-based paints, linoleum, putty, lead water pipes, and possibility hay made from highway sidings.
