Pressure treated wood is resistant to termite feeding. Termites tend to feed on the surface and stop. Pressure treated wood kills termites and other wood destroying organisms when they eat it. Pressure treated wood lasts for many years (inorganic treatments) and reduces the risk of houses being weakened from termite damage.
