Consult with your veterinarian to determine a deworming program that fits your production system. In all circumstances, it is recommended that an integrative approach be taken including pasture management, the use of fecal egg counts, and the FAMACHA Anemia Guide for the Haemonchous contortus (barber pole worm - blood sucker). There are only three compounds approved for use in small ruminants at present: Benzimidazole (Safeguard), Imidiathiazoles (Prohibit), and Macrocyclic lactones (Ivomec and Moxidectin). Extra label use of additional products can be recommended by your veterinarian.
