Start ophthalmic antibiotic ointment early, not powders or irritating injectable antibiotics like LA 200. Penicillin G swabbed on the eye works well. The goat may have associated respiratory problems. You can reduce the incidence of pinkeye in your herd by controlling dust and flies and minimizing animal stress. Consult with a veterinarian for the appropriate use of all medications.
