Leaf distortion and curled edges may mean that the potato plant has a virus. There are several viruses that attack potatoes. Virus spread to plants through wounds made from insects or mechanical damage and infected seed sources. Monitor for pests in the garden and avoid damaging or stressing plants. Always plant certified seed pieces. Contact your local Extension office for more information on potato diseases.
