What is the name of the fungus that causes downy mildew on eastern redbud?

The downy mildew on leaves of eastern redbud (Cercis canadensis L) is caused by the fungus Plasmopara cercidis C. G. Shaw.  For option on organic control, refer to Purdue's:  Disease Management Strategies; Using Organic Fungicides.
