What is a recommended cover grass for a septic field? I live in Texas.

Fescue grasses in central Texas aren't really a good choice in that they cannot take the extreme heat of our summers. Any of the turfgrasses that are acclimated to our area would be suitable for your septic drain field. Assuming that your drain field is in a sunny area, bermuda or zoysia would be a good recommendation. For more information on the various turfgrasses and information about planting on the septic drain field, contact your local Extension office.
