To look its best, your Tif Bermuda grass should be mowed short (1 inch or less) and often (every three to five days) and with a reel mower. However, it will look acceptable mowed with a rotary mower as long as you mow it frequently (at least once a week). When you let it go longer than that you will tend to cut off all of the leaves, which results in a brown lawn. Using a rotary mower on this turf requires constant attention to maintain a sharp, nick-free rotary blade.
