We don't know of any plants that deer will never taste. Understand that all plants are at risk if a deer is hungry enough. However, a couple that you might try to see if they are less palatable than other local plants are butterfly vine (Mascagnia macroptera) and cross vine (Bignonia capreolata). Online resources: At the bottom of this link are several publications that include lists of deer-resistant plants. The publication from the University of Arizona, titled "Deer and Rabbit Resistant Plants," may be the most helpful for your location. This information is specific for Texas and may not apply to your local conditions.
