Do all redbud trees bloom? I planted a small redbud (Cercis canadensis) last spring. It is now getting leaves but seems to have skipped the beautiful blooms.

I think that you just need to have patience. It may take a few more years for the tree to reach blooming maturity. Michael Dirr states in his "Manual of Woody Landscape Plants" that redbuds typically bloom at four to six years of age.
