Have a question? Try asking one of our Experts

I am in need of a repellent for geckos that invade my house during August and September. They use my closet for a bathroom, and I would like to deter them. I realize geckos are excellent insect disposers. Do you have any suggestions?

There are no practical repellents for geckos. A better approach is a thorough effort to repair window screens and to caulk and seal soffits and other openings in a home's outdoor walls to deter geckos from entering. Although the link below refers to rodent exclusion, the principles will easily apply to geckos. Online Resources: Rodent exclusion
