What would cause our tomatoes to have a mealy, soft texture? The taste is good, but in the past they have had a firm texture.

Some tomato varieties are inherently mealy textured. However, the most common reason for tomatoes developing a soft texture is due to refrigeration. Tomatoes should never be refrigerated, but rather stored at room temperature.
