Dallis grass (Paspalum dilatatum) is a clump grass that can only be killed by manually digging up the clumps or spot killing them with one of the glyphosate herbicides. Any St. Augustine grass that the herbicide gets on will also be killed. However, it will grow back into the spot where the dallis grass was. Dallis grass is only propagated by seed, so it is imperative that it not be allowed to go to seed.
