There is no research that proves marigolds repel bees. Flowers on plants, shrubs and trees will attract bees rather than repel them. Plant items that do not flower in order to keep bees away from your garden. While the marigolds are an attractive addition to the garden, research studies have concluded they aren't effective in reducing insect densities around your home.
