How do I care for a tiny miniature rose indoors? I received one as a gift.

Cut the flowers off your miniature rose as they start to wilt or fade (dead heading). This will prevent the rose from forming a rose hip, which has seed in it. The rose uses lots of energy to make seed, which takes away from the energy needed to make more flowers.  Roses need a lot of sunlight, ample fertilizer, and good air circulation. If a rose plant is not receiving enough sun, it will reach for the light, creating long, leggy branches. Be sure to keep your rose in as much sun light as possible. Prune back any long branches by one-half to promote bushiness.
